Iran loudly calls for peaceful coexistence in the world and region, President Hassan Rouhani said.

He made the remarks while addressing a ceremony on the National Exports Day in Tehran Oct. 20, state-run IRINN TV reported.

Iran has no choice other than forming a constructive interaction with the world in order to boost its export, he said.

He further said that constructive interaction with the world means establishing suitable ties with global community for exports, and import of capital goods and raw materials as well as employment of youth.

Today, progress is not possible without having ties with the world, Rouhani underlined.

He further said that Iran has no choice but to enter the competitive global market for boosting its exports.

The Islamic Republic should prevail over foreign competitors in target markets in terms of quality, price and packaging of the products, he said, adding that reviewing the former export policies is vital in a world that the conditions for export of goods and service is evolving.

Iran's non-oil exports (including condensates) surpassed $21.76 billion during the first half of the current fiscal year, indicating a rise by 6 percent compared to the same period of the preceding year.

Iran exported some 59.132 million tons of non-oil goods during that period which is 25 percent more compared with the 6-month period of preceding year.
