US Vice President Mike Pence met with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini to talk about a whole range of different issues, including Iran’s nuclear deal.
During the meeting, Mogherini stressed the need to preserve and fully implement the Iran deal, the European External Action Service reported February 20.
The EU was involved in striking the nuclear deal in 2015. The prospect of implementation of the deal, which started in January 2016, has been a matter of question after US President Donald Trump said the deal was “the worst deal ever negotiated” and threatened that he would “tear” it up.
