Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has arrived in Kazakh capital, Astana, to attend the summit of the heads of member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), ISNA news agency reported.
Zarif is expected to address the SCO summit and partake in the inauguration ceremony of the Astana Expo on June 9.
The minister is also scheduled to confer several Kazakh officials during the visit.
China earlier this week said that it supports Iran's membership of the SCO and the subject will be discussed at the group's summit.
