An earthquake measuring 3.8 on Richter scale jolted Farashband in Fars Province on Friday, IRNA reported.
According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 22:15 hours local time (18:45 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 28.69 degrees latitude and 52.03 degrees longitude and in depth of 24 kilometers underground,
Farashband is located in south west of the Fars Province.
There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.
