The 1st International Scientific-Strategic Conference on Tourism Development for Islamic Republic of Iran: Challenges and Prospects ended its activities here Sunday evening after 48 hours of tough technical meetings and workshops
First scientific-strategic conference on tourism ended in Iran

Scientific Affairs Secretary of the conference Mozhgan Azimi said at the closing ceremony of the conference that drawing the attention of the concerned officials to the challenges and needs of the country's tourism industry and proposing strategies in the framework of an effective program has been the main objective of holding the conference, IRNA reported.

She said that devising such a program at the threshold of drafting the 6th Development Plan of the Country is of great importance.

Azimi said that 438 articles were received at the Secretariat of the Conference, 312 of which were chosen by a board of jurors comprised on 70 experts in the field for being presented in various forms during the two days of the conference.

She said that 80 articles were chosen for oral presentation, 130 for poster presentation and 102 for presenting of abstracts.

The Scientific Affairs Secretary International Scientific-Strategic Conference on Tourism Development for Islamic Republic of Iran meanwhile informed that eight panel discussions and 10 expert level workshops were held during the two days of the conference.
