Algerian Cultural Exhibition is scheduled to start in the Iranian capital Tehran today and will last for three days, IRNA reports.
Organized by the Algerian Embassy in Iran, the exhibition, which will be held at Melal Cultural Center, aims to make people of the two countries more familiar with each other’s culture, customs and tradition.
The head of the cultural center, Esmaeil Fallah-Kheir, said that traditional and visual artworks (watercolor paintings, oil paintings, miniature and acrylic) as well as handicrafts (potteries, stone paintings) will be displayed at the exhibition.
In Art and Cinema section, ‘The Battle of Algiers’ by Gillo Pontecorvo and ‘The Well’ will go on silver screen.
An exhibition featuring Algerian cuisines and traditional clothes is another part of the event which seeks to promote friendship between the two countries.
