Some 2.6 tons of drugs were seized during the operation carried out by the police officers in Saravan county of Iran’s south-eastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, chief of the law enforcement agency of the province Mohammad Ganbari said.
Some 2.42 tons of opium, 32 kilograms of morphine, 23 kilograms of hashish, 2.2 kilograms of heroine and 122 kilograms of other drugs were found, Ganbari added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
Moreover, two Kalashnikov rifles, cartridge clip, shells were also seized. Three smugglers were detained.
