Iran to pre-order coronavirus vaccine from an Indian company
TEHRAN, Iran, Sep. 21
Iran's Health Minister announced Iran`s effort to pre-order 20 million doses of coronavirus vaccine from an Indian company.
“The Ministry of Health has taken measures to provide the coronavirus vaccine via an Indian company which has pre-sold 100 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine to Americans,” Saeed Namaki, Iranian Minister of Health, said at the meeting of the National Committee on Combating Coronavirus today on Saturday, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
He went on to say that the CEO of the Indian Company is of an Iranian Zoroastrian origin who have promised to sell us 20 million doses of the vaccine at a lower price.
"We are taking the necessary measures to provide this vaccine. Of course, our research teams are also working around the clock to produce the vaccine,” said Namaki.
