Iran's IRGC provides support to COVID-affected families

TEHRAN, Iran, Oct. 30

Trend:

Head of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Hossein Salami said that 54,000 Basij Bases in the country should be turned into health care centers, Trend reports via Fars News Agency.

“Our goal is to be able to identify the coronavirus infected cases and follow up on the treatment guidelines and protocols, related to COVID-19,” Salami said.

“If the disease is diagnosed quickly and the sick people are quarantined, the transmission chain of the disease will be cut naturally,” he said.

"We should try to separate healthy people from the infected as soon as possible, while distributing health packages among low-income families and advising them to follow health instructions is one of the issues that all provincial officials should address," he pointed out.

"The production and distribution of masks is an important issue,” he said. “The Basij forces should provide masks in busy places.”

"Providing livelihood packages to families who have financially suffered from coronavirus is currently being done by different sections of the IRGC,” said Salami.
