An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale took place in the north-west of Azerbaijan on border area with Georgia on Saturday, the Republican Seismology Center of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan told Trend. Tremors were recorded in Balakan at 23:44 local time.
Tremors measuring 4 on the Richter scale were felt in Balakan and Zagatala regions. Tremors measuring 3 on the Richter scale were felt in Mingechevir, Ganja and Sheki.
