Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb.24 / Trend F.Mehdi/

Some 252 members of the Iranian parliament (Majlis) have undersigned a statement, emphasizing the right for peaceful use of nuclear enrichment should be stressed in the upcoming talks with the 5+1 group in Kazakhstan, the Fars News Agency reported.

The MPs called on the team of negotiators to defend the Iranian nation's rights based on the NPT.

They also urged Russia and China to resist illogical decisions of the U.S. aimed to politicize the global economy.

The next round of nuclear talks between Iran and P5+1 group will be held in Kazakstan on Feb.26, IRIB NEWS reported.

Tehran and the P5+1 had as well held three rounds of talks earlier; one in Geneva in December 2010 and two in Istanbul in January 2011 and in April 2012.

The West, led by the United States, has imposed sanctions against Iran, accusing Tehran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear energy program.

Iran has repeatedly dismissed the Western allegations, arguing that as a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it has every right to pursue nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
