Azerbaijani President receives credentials from ambassadors of several countries (PHOTO) (UPDATE)

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received the credentials of Portugal's incoming ambassador Jorge Tito de Vasconcelos Nogueira Dias Cabral.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received the credentials of Portugal's incoming ambassador Jorge Tito de Vasconcelos Nogueira Dias Cabral.

During the conversation the ambassador recalled a visit of Portugal`s foreign minister to Azerbaijan in June this year.

He added that after this visit the interest of Portuguese companies in Azerbaijan increased.

The diplomat noted Azerbaijan and Portugal were friendly countries, and underlined the importance of active cooperation of Azerbaijan and Portugal within international organizations.

The ambassador noted good opportunities exist to develop bilateral relationship. The diplomat vowed to spare no efforts to expand these relations during his tenure.

President Ilham Aliyev said relations between Azerbaijan and Portugal were developing successfully.

The Head of State described bilateral political relationship as good, adding great potential exists to speed up cooperation in economic and other spheres as well.

The Azerbaijani leader said the two countries are successfully cooperating within international organizations.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today accepted credentials of newly appointed ambassador of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Cenio Elwin Lewis.

The Ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.

The Head of State had a conversation with the diplomat.

President Ilham Aliyev praised Azerbaijan`s international cooperation with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The President thanked the diplomat for his country`s support in the United Nations.
The Head of State noted St. Vincentian Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves`s visit to Azerbaijan marked the establishment of relations, as well as the creation of the foundation for economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Azerbaijani leader stressed the importance of reciprocal visits in terms of expanding bilateral relations.

The ambassador conveyed greetings of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines`s Premier Ralph Gonsalves to the Head of State.

Elwin Lewis said rapid development processes in Azerbaijan made a deep impression on him.
The diplomat noted Saint Vincent and the Grenadines wants to enhance cooperation with Azerbaijan.
He added he would spare no efforts to contribute to expanding the bilateral ties during his tenure.
The Head of State asked the ambassador to pass on his greetings to the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The Ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.

The Azerbaijani President had a conversation with the diplomat.

Arancibia Reyes said he had eye-witnessed big development processes, construction work and landscaping in Baku.

They noted the reciprocal visits contributed to boosting relations between the two countries.
They said there were good opportunities for expansion of Azerbaijan-Chile cooperation.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Friday credentials of incoming ambassador of Nigeria Alhaji Tukur Mani.

The President said relationship between Azerbaijan and Nigerai was developing successfully. The Head of State underlined the necessity of strengthening these relations even more.

President Ilham Aliyev recalled his meeting with Nigerian counterpart at a nuclear summit in Seoul. According to President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan and Nigeria support each other in international organizations, and this support will continue in the coming years.

Ambassador Alhaji Tukur Mani extended Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan`s greetings to President Ilham Aliyev. He said great opportunities exist to expand bilateral relationship. The diplomat added he would make every effort to contribute to strengthen these relations during his tenure.

They also exchanged views on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Nigeria in economic, energy, trade, education and other spheres.

President Ilham Aliyev asked the diplomat to convey his greetings to his Nigerian counterpart.
