Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused the European Union of inaction on combating terrorism, according to TRT Haber TV channel.

Erdogan said that the EU has called several organizations, including the Workers' Party of Kurdistan and the Turkish People's Liberation Party-Front (THKP-C) terrorist groups. However, the EU is not doing anything about the problem of terrorism in Turkey.

"To date, over 400 people accused of terrorism in Turkey are residing in Germany; extraditions to Turkey are constantly postponed," Erdogan said.
He also noted that many of the members of the terroristic PKK detained in Europe are released from custody after a short period of time.

Recently, the THKP-C has been active. On February 1, a massive explosion took place in front of the U.S. Embassy in Ankara. The blast killed a security guard of the embassy and wounded one visitor. The mastermind behind the blast, a member of the Marxist terrorist group, the Turkish People's Liberation Party-Front, Ecevit Shanli was also killed. He had previously been released from a German prison only to later illegally infiltrate the Turkish border and carry out the attack.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has lasted for over 25 years. The PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by both the UN and the EU.
