Documentary film about Chingiz Aitmatov White dreams on the way home is issued on CD, Kyrgyz extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Kazakhstan Zhanish Rustenbekov told Trend .

"This film is not completed as it was planned because of writer Chingiz Torekulovich's death. But even unfinished variant has great interest for worshippers of his talent. Author of the project was Alim Mirzoyev but producer - Rauf Mammadov. Film was planned on occasion of 80-anniversary of writer," Rustenbekov said.

He said that meetings of writer with many famous leaders and modern figures are planned to be demonstrated in the film. These figures include the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

"That time I had just left position of minister of emergency situations. I had more free time. We decided to shoot documental film about Chingiz Aitmatov together with famous people Alim Mirzoyev and Rauf Mammadov. The idea was to shoot meetings with interesting people on the way home," diplomat said.

Kyrgyz ambassador said that m shooting was launched in Brussels. The writer worked ambassador there till his death.   

Aitmatov worked USSR and Russian ambassador to Benelux countries over 1990-1994. He was Kyrgyz ambassador to France, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands till March 2008.

"Aitmatov's visit to Azerbaijan was demonstrated in the film. When we applied to the Azerbaijani union of writers, we got response and support. Start on the writer's planned tour to several Republics of USSR was launched in Baku. So, Aitmatov visited Azerbaijan and met with Ilham Aliyev. Aliyev awarded him with the Order of Friendship of Peoples," Rustenbekov said. 

The Azerbaijani President gave interview to producers of the film White dreams on the way home about Chingiz Aitmatov. 

"There is warm attitude to Chingiz Aitmatov in Azerbaijan. We consider him as our compatriot. He always voiced true and justice. He always supported Azerbaijan in hard moments of history," Ilham Aliyev said in his interview. This interview entered documental film on CD.   

President Aliyev reminded that he liked creative work of Chingiz Aitmatov as his father Heydar Aliyev.

"Heydar Aliyev was versatile person. During my school years he recommended me to learn a new poem every day. First, it was not pleasant for me as I was young. It took time from sport, football. But then I liked. So, I read Aitmatov's novels," the Azerbaijani President said.

He said that Chingiz Aitmatov is very sincere person making peoples closer by his talent.  

"There were examples in history when talent not always goes side by side with civil position. In this case, we see combination of these features in the person of Chingiz Aitmatov. He was awarded by the Order of Friendship of Peoples. This order was instituted as the highest state award in Azerbaijan. I am pleased that he was first whom I gave this award," the Azerbaijani President said in Azerbaijan interview with producers of the film White dreams on the way home." 

Chingiz Aitmatov is famous Kyrgyz writer, Hero of Socialist Labor, author of Jamila, First teacher, My poplar in red scarf, Day lasts more than century novels. These novels brought him world popularity.

The writer died in hospital of German city of Nurnberg in the clinic he was treated on June 10, 2008. He was buried in historic-memorial complex Ata-Beyit of Bishkek's suburb on June 14.
