Internet is based on 'humanistic' and 'liberal' values and this is harmful for societies, Mehr news agency reported quoting Minister of Communication & Information Technology Reza Taghipour as saying.

Iran is about to introduce Halal (clean or religious) limited permissible internet.

"Our clean internet would be based on Islamic and humanitarian content, because the world needs to find a redefinition for the existing internet," he said.

Taghipour noted that the content of current internet damages the family entities by 'dirty' and 'harmful' business goals.

Iran will offer its 'clean internet' to international community soon.

Restricted 'clean internet' will be launched in few months.

The Iranian authorities finished setting up the first Iranian cyber police to strengthen their control of the Internet in January 2011.

Iran was included in 'internet enemies' list of the Reporters Without Borders.
