Sustained growth on Azerbaijan's information and communication technologies market is primarily related to the stability in the country's economy, HP Director General for the CIS, Rudi Kozak said, the ICT information center reported.
He said Azerbaijan's stable economy on the backdrop of changes on the world financial markets enables to create more favorable conditions for the activities in the country. These favorable economic conditions, lack of signs of financial crisis and stable national currency create good opportunities for business success.
Thanks to the economic stability, HP's intermediate indicators for 2009 are positive in Azerbaijan, Kozak said. One can appreciate both implementation of major projects in the field of ICT and growth in sales of computers and other equipment.
He said demand for products, services and solutions in the ICT demonstrate the stability of the economy. Unlike Azerbaijan, indicators are low in many fields of some CIS countries.
Describing the structure of growth in demand for products and solutions of HP in Azerbaijan, Kozak said that the greatest demand has been observed on the server solution, which also testifies the good economic situation. He also appreciated the success of the "People's Computer" project which created favorable opportunities to buy computers with zero credit rate with an opportunity to pay within 12 months. At present, this project involves teachers, but soon the next stage of the project will begin with the expansion of the list of professions that can buy computers at such favorable terms.
