What is importance of quality improvement for local enterprise?

Following the development of economic reforms in Azerbaijan more and ore attention is paid to quality. At present, one of serious problems for local enterprises is the establishment of quality system, enabling to produce competitive products. Quality system is important while holding talks with foreign consumers, considering presence of quality system, certified by an authoritative body as an obligatory condition. The quality system should take into account the peculiarities, to minimize expenses for designing products and its application. The consumer wishes to have a confidence in stable and steady quality of the product.

Significance of the quality of products is that only qualitative products open export road to solvent western markets. The quality is an important tool in a fight for consumer markets. Namely, the quality ensures rivalry of the product. It originates from technical level of the product and its usefulness for a consumer through functional, social, esthetic, ergonomic and ecological peculiarities.

In this case competitiveness is defined through a combination of qualitative and cost of the product, which can meet consumer's demand, as well as expenses for purchase and consumption of relevant product.

It is necessary to take into account that product with more competitive ability is that ensuing more useful effect with regard to total expense of consumer. Indeed, improvement of quality requires much finance. However, they reimburse thank to profits gained. It is impossible to occupy a leading position in the market without designs and assimilation of new goods (modified and improved).

Significance of improving the quality is manifold enough. The resolution of this problem on the micro level is important for economy in whole, because it enables to establish new and progressive proportions between its fields and within fields. For instance, between the metallurgical industry and machinery. These proportions can be ensured trough improving technologies of machinery production and increasing its economy. Increase of quality of machinery products is important for automating production processes in other spheres.

High reliability of the equipment purchased by consumer will ensure proportionality of the production process, which is important to overcome incidents and extraordinary outrage of equipment, and appearance of 'narrow' places.

Tremendous funds are required to remove defects if not to attach serious attention to quality. Researches held in some countries showed that companies attaching less attention to quality might spend up to 60 percent of their time to correcting deficiencies. More effect will be achieved through designing long-term programs on preventing deficiencies.

Respectively, the state policy should be directed at boosting quality of the product. Constant production of qualitative products means too much for an enterprise in condition of market relations. First of all is to form an image of enterprise. Image of high level is confidence and popularity, consumers' steady positive attitude towards the firm, its products, services, attributes of brand style, trade mark and advertisement.

At present, we see a huge number of foreign manufacturing companies, which successfully keep leading position in the international and local markets in different fields of activities. These are Adidas, Nike, PHILIPS, SONY, Coca-Cola and many others. Thus, solution of the problem of the quality of product at enterprise is the high image among consumers, exit to foreign market, and basis for obtaining maximal profits from steady quality of the product.

Till recently, special divisions should be involved in quality. Transition to market economy conditions the necessity for studying experience of leading industrial enterprises of the world in achievement of high quality. Leading industrial enterprises of countries with developed market economy think that all services should target quality. Key role in the improvement of quality belongs to requirements of consumers, information on fault conditions, miscalculations and mistakes, estimation of consumers.

Significance of improving quality is ell illustrated on the model of Japan. After the World War II the Japanese industrials were in search of ways to increase efficiency of production and quality of products. A group of Japanese managers studies experience worldwide. They met with heads of industrials in the United States and Europe. All rational elements were transferred to national basis. A notion of statistic control over quality and complex quality management drew attention of Japanese mangers. Japanese workers and employees studied new methods in the work hour. Studying experience of different countries, the Japanese managers paid attention how the progressing firms put high requirements on their employees and quality of products.
