The Central Election Commission today at a meeting approved and submitted to the Constitutional Court the results of parliamentary elections.

Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers Elmar Mammadyarov and Edward Nalbandian met in Lisbon. The meeting was held within the NATO summit, which took place in Lisbon Nov.19-21 with participation of heads of states and governments of 28 NATO member- and partner-countries.

Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have visited Azerbaijani soldiers who are in captivity in Armenia.

Azerbaijan and Portugal signed an agreement on visa-free regime for persons with diplomatic, official and special passports.

The document was undersigned by the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Portugal, Elmar Mammadyarov and Luis Amado, in the framework of the NATO summit in Lisbon.

Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov, Russia Sergei Lavrov and Armenia Edward Nalbandian have met in Moscow.

Iran increased the term of visa-free stay of Azerbaijani citizens in Iran from 15 days to one month.

The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office and the Interior Ministry published the results of an investigation into the illegal transplantation of human organs.

According to the report, Azerbaijan conducted the investigation after Ukrainian law enforcement agencies sent an appeal to Baku. The appeal stated that a group of Ukrainian citizens organized illegal kidney transplants at the Azerbaijan International University's Medical Center in 2009. The appeal stated that the kidney were taken from foreign citizens and transplanted by Ukrainian doctors.

Azerbaijan and Argentina signed a memorandum of intentions on political consultations, Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

The Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) and the Argentina National Diplomatic Service Institute signed a memorandum of cooperation.

According to the memorandum, the institutions will exchange students and researchers, as well as conduct scientific exchanges. Moreover, an Azerbaijani center is planned to be opened at a university in Argentina and a research center on Latin America at the ADA. The sides agreed to provide scholarships to Argentinean students to study at the ADA.

Sustainable development of civil society in Azerbaijan has created an opportunity for expanding NGOs' activities, Azay Guliyev, chairman of the Council of State Support to NGOs under the President, said in his speech today at an international conference in Baku on the topic "Development of civil society and state funding of NGOs: accumulated experience and opportunities" organized by the Consul.

To solve education problems of disabled children UNICEF is realizing joint projects with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The 14th General Assembly of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) has begun in Istanbul today. The four-day summit was organized by Turkey's 90-year-old largest state news agency Anadolu.

Baku hosted discussions on prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and France in the sphere of fair constitutional judicial proceedings.

On Thursday, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev received the deputy prosecutor of High Court of Paris Françoise Gilon, who is on an official visit to Baku at the invitation of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children, the press service of the Constitutional Court told Trend.

Azerbaijan and Montenegro signed two documents on cooperation, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the delegation headed by Montenegro's Foreign Minister Milan Rocen, who is on visit to Azerbaijan. It was noted that Azerbaijan and Montenegro have broad opportunities for cooperation in several spheres, including economy and tourism.
