Tender for development of Green Quarter project concept announced in Kazakhstan

Kazakh Samruk-Kazyna Real Estate Fund has announced an international tender for the preparation of a city-planning development concept within the Green Quarter project, the press service of the National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna said.

"Samruk-Kazyna Real Estate Fund has announced an international tender to develop the concept of city-planning in the "Green Quarter", including a conceptual master plan, models, sketches, and a preliminary feasibility study, "the statement said.

According to the press service, on January 23, 2013 during a meeting held to discuss the totals of 2012 and the implementation of the "Kazakhstan-2050" strategy, the Kazakh President entrusted Samruk-Kazyna NWF to implement the construction project of the Green Quarter in Astana. According to instructions, the Fund is appointed the operator of the program for implementation of this project.

"The purpose of the tender is development of the Green Quarter, search for a modern, original, interesting design and construction ideas and solutions in the development of outline, architectural and structural design of the complex. The tender is being held from February 25 to April 5, 2013. Legal entities and individuals, residents and non-residents: authors and groups of authors, project organizations, architects and designers are invited to participate in the tender, "the Fund reported.

According to the Fund, the provision of full amenity will be taken into account during the evaluation of projects, including an outdoor lighting by alternative energy sources, planting trees and decorative bushes, flower beds and lawns, recreation areas, playgrounds, areas for outdoor activities within the projected area. Application of technology to ensure the project's compliance with international standards of environmental design (LEED, BREEAM, DGNB) will also be considered in the selection of the winner.

Petronas Charigali announces tender in Turkmenistan

Petronas Charigali (Turkmenistan) invites companies to participate in the following tender:

PCT/DEV/2012/049 - Delivering equipment for operations while drilling, as well as rendering services while using this equipment during the appraisal and exploitation drilling campaign at Block 1, offshore Turkmenistan.

Interested companies should submit the following documents:

- A letter / application of participation in the tender specifying the number and name of the tender;

- A power of attorney for an authorised representative for the right to submit an application;

Uzbek Plant announces tender for gold mine construction

Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC, Almalyk city, Tashkent region) has announced a tender for the construction of the Samarchuk gold mine in Tashkent region.

The tender is being announced for a turnkey vertical mine shaft sinking of the Samarchuk mine of the Kyzyl Olma deposit. The starting value of the work is 18.9 million.

Bids are accepted until March 26. Results of the competition will be announced in April.

As reported, the AMMC started building an underground mine with capacity of up to 200,000 tons of ore on the Samarchuk site at the existing Kyzyl Olma field earlier this year.

Funding for the project worth $ 74 million will be provided by equity of AMMC worth $ 35 million through loans from the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan ($ 14.2 million) and loans from Uzbek banks for a total amount of $ 24.8 million.

Completion of construction is scheduled for the end of 2015.

Azerbaijani Central Bank upgrades banking operating system

The Azerbaijani Central Bank (CBA) is planning to upgrade the technical and software platform of the Temenos banking operating system, the Tender Commission said.

The CBA plans to purchase the server and network hardware and upgrade the software platform (to buy the latest version of R07, operating on Base) within the tender.

Companies engaged in independent legal and financial activity for at least for five years will be able to participate in the tender. While evaluating the tender bids, the financial and technical features will be taken into account. The operations must be fulfilled within 12 months from the date of signing the agreement on the procurement contract.

Those wishing to participate in the tender can submit a request on participation and other documents till April 9. The tender bid which must be valid until June 3, 2013 and the bank guarantee must be submitted by April 17.

The fee for participation in the tender is 300 manat.

The tender procedure will take place at 15.00 on April 18 at the CBA administration building at 32, R.Behbudov st, Baku.

Turkmen Construction Ministry announces tender for plant reconstruction

The Construction Ministry of Turkmenistan announces an international tender (for the national currency) for the reconstruction of the Dashoguz large-panel house building plant.

Annual capacity after reconstruction will be 55,000 cubic meters of concrete goods. Companies wishing to participate in the tender are required:

Azerbaijani water operator announces tender for construction works

Azerbaijan's national water operator Azersu JSC has announced a tender for construction and installation works in 2013 with the purpose of renovation and establishment of water supply and sewerage systems in Baku, its settlements and in regions of the country, according to the statement released by the official press.

Tender consists of three lots, one of which involves construction of the Zabrat-Kurdakhani-Pirshagi tunnel type sewage collector, the second provides for renovation of reservoirs and laying of the main water line in Sumgait, the third - reconstruction of some facilities of the Hovsan aeration station.

All these works must be completed by the end of 2013. The fee for participation in the tender is 300 manat. Bids are accepted until 17:00 on April 19, 2013.
