Indian company announces oil sale from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field
In August 2013 the Indian Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) put on sale the oil from the Turkish Ceyhan port, for the first time after the purchase of a share in Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil and gas fields' block, Reuters reported on Friday with reference to a representative of the company.
American company Hess agreed to sell its share in the projects in Azerbaijan to ONGC Videsh in early September last year. The deal on the sale was completed in spring of this year.
Hess sold 2.72 percent of share in Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli project and 2.36 percent in Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, for $1 billion under the terms of the deal.
The major part of the product within ONGC share in Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli will be shipped from Ceyhan and another part - from Georgian Supsa port, the source said.
Azerbaijani processing wells enter list of BP's five most productive wells
According to 2012 results, three processing wells at the "Shah Deniz" field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea entered the list of the five most productive BP wells, a BP "Report on Sustainable development" for 2012 said.
"Shah Deniz" processing wells took third, fourth and fifth places amongst the twenty most productive BP wells, with 5,353,000 barrels, 4,888,000 barrels and 439,000 barrels produced per day.
SOCAR completes construction of new facility in Azerbaijani sector of Caspian Sea
State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has completed the construction of a new platform at "Banka Darvina" field in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, SOCAR told today. According to the information, the platform is envisaged for the drilling of eight operational wells. The Eight-Block object will be located at 10 meters depth of water.
SOCAR plans to acquire some shares of OMV Petrol Ofisi's subdivision
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) intends to purchase POAIR company's some shares, which is a subdivision of the Turkish fuel distribution network OMV Petrol Ofisi, Reuters said on Friday, citing a source in the oil and gas market.
The source did not disclose the percentage of shares to be bought by SOCAR.
According to the report, around 41.58 percent of POAIR's shares are owned by Austrian company OMV, 55.4 percent - OMV Petrol Ofisi holding. Around 3.02 percent of the shares are in free circulation on the stock exchange.
POAIR company owns about 100 terminals for aircraft refueling at airports of Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Izmir and Mugla. These terminals serve about 240,000 planes a year.
Kazakhstan launches next stage of Kashagan field development
The North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC), an operator of the Kazakh Kashagan oil and gas field development project, launched the next significant stage in its development, in particular, desulfurized gas supply to the sea complex of oil and gas processing on artificial Island D.
Details of Afghan-Turkmen gas deal announced
Afghanistan has announced the details of the gas agreement with Turkmenistan, signed within the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project in Ashgabat last week.
Based on this contract, following the completion of this project, Afghanistan will purchase 500 million cubic meters of gas in the first ten years, and 1bilion and 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas annually in the second and third ten years respectively.
At this meeting, the four countries in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank, agreed to establish a joint consortium entitled TAPI Ltd by the end of 2013 which will comprise of the gas companies of the member countries, the statement said.
Transneft starts transportation of Turkmen oil through Makhachkala port
The first tanker with Turkmen oil arrived in the Russian port of Makhachkala, online publication "Oil Transport Territory" (nefttrans.ru) reported with reference to the official representative of Transneft company Igor Demin.
According to the Russian publication, the Turkmen side is the owner of the cargo. The oil will be transported by Makhachkala-Novorossiysk pipeline for export shipment.
The Makhachkala port requires extensive reconstruction for receiving additional volumes of Turkmen oil, the "Oil Transport Territory" wrote. Now the maximum carrying capacity of tankers in Makhachkala is 10 thousand tons. The existing oil storage capacity of the port, as well as the lack of depth does not allow unloading large ships.
German RWE Dea presents Caspian Sea shelf's seismic exploration report to Turkmenistan
A presentation of German RWE Dea concern, which has been working on Block 23 in the Turkmen section of the Caspian Sea since 2009, was held in Turkmenistan's capital of Ashgabat, a report of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources Ministry of Turkmenistan said.
According to the report, the presentation covered the theme "Block 23 - seismic exploration works, processing and interpretation of final seismic exploration data". Initial stages of the works, database, field seismic exploration works, processing and interpretation of seismic data were discussed during the presentation.
"The overview of construction of West-Keymir 1 well, and specifically the introduction of drilling of the West-Keymir-1 well, its design and engineering, civil construction of camps, drilling sites and access roads were also presented," the report said.
