Azerbaijani, Georgian customs services agree on information exchange

The representatives of the Azerbaijani and Georgian customs services met in Tbilisi.

The Azerbaijani and Georgian customs services signed a document in the field of technical support for an information exchange system.

Azerbaijan, Pakistan to cooperate in nuclear research

Azerbaijan and Pakistan have determined priority cooperation areas in the sphere of high technologies, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and High Technologies said.

Cooperation issues were discussed during a meeting between Ali Abbasov, Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and High Technologies and Muhammad Irfan Burney, Chairman of the National Engineering and Scientific Commission of Pakistan (NESCOM), the ministry said.

Irfan Burney also proposed to consider the possibility of developing cooperation between the two countries in other areas, particularly, in the areas of human resources, working on software solutions and cyber security.

US creating trade mission to Azerbaijan

The US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) and the US Commercial Service started to form a US trade mission to Azerbaijan, according to a message from the USACC.

The USACC said the mission, which is to take place on November 18-20, is a response to the rapid growth and potentials of Azerbaijan.

The mission offers US companies an opportunity to explore Azerbaijani market, explore ways to increase profits and overcome barriers, build relations with leading regional industry experts, government officials and global companies, and identify prospective partners, customers, agents and distributors.

Bulgaria offers Azerbaijan to invest in its energy projects

The Bulgarian government has delivered a package of energy cooperation projects to Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani ambassador to Bulgaria Emil Karimov said.

In particular, the Azerbaijani side was offered to participate in the construction of filling stations, to invest in the construction of oil and gas storage facilities, and refineries.

"At present, the Azerbaijani side is examining these projects and their profitability," he said.

Azerbaijan's business opportunities presented in Italy

Azerbaijan is one of Italy's main trade partners, Manuela Traldi, Italy-Azerbaijan Trade Institute ITAZERCOM head, said at a presentation entitled "Investments in Azerbaijan: Business Environment and Opportunities", organized by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and the Italy-Azerbaijan Trade Institute (ITAZERCOM), the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy and Industry said.

The presentation was held as part of the EXPO-2015 international exhibition in the Italian city of Milan.

Then AZPROMO head Rufat Mammadov made a presentation on the investment environment and business opportunities of Azerbaijan. He informed the participants about the economy of the country and Azerbaijan-Italy economic and trade relations.

The presentations of the Azerbaijan Investment Company's activity, Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, Balakhani Industrial Park also took place at the event.

Fitch affirms Azerbaijan at 'BBB-'; Outlook Stable

Fitch Ratings has affirmed Azerbaijan's Long-term foreign and local currency Issuer Default Ratings (IDR) at 'BBB-' with a Stable Outlook, the international rating agency said.

The issue ratings on Azerbaijan's senior unsecured foreign currency bonds have also been affirmed at 'BBB-'. The Country Ceiling has been affirmed at 'BBB-' and the Short-term foreign currency IDR at 'F3'.
