Around 300 changes made in Azerbaijani Criminal Code
The bill "On Amendments to the Azerbaijani Criminal Code" was submitted for discussion at a plenary session of the Azerbaijani parliament.
In general, the bill envisages around 300 changes to the country’s Criminal Code.
Thus, a number of articles have been excluded from the code. "Restriction of freedom" was included in the code.
According to the changes, 18 crimes were transferred from the category of less heinous crimes into the category of crimes that do not pose a great public danger, while four crimes were transferred from the category of heinous crimes into to the category of less heinous crimes.
Following the discussions, the bill was put to the vote and adopted by a majority vote.
