Deputy minister: New state program in youth policy will increase welfare of Azerbaijani youth

New "Azerbaijani youth in 2011-2015" State Program will improve social welfare of the Azerbaijani youth, said Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport Intigam Babayev.
The program will focus on strengthening Azerbaijani youth in the field of management and professional development of young cadres so that they would actively participate in public administration, public life, said the official.Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on the preparation of the State Program 'Azerbaijani youth in 2011-2015.
Upon the decree, the Presidential Administration was instructed to, within 10 days, establish a working group from representatives of relevant government agencies to draft the Azerbaijani youth in 2011-2015 State Program.
At the same time, Babayev said the program will reflect the relevant paragraphs on the economic and social development of young people - employment, support the development of young entrepreneurs. The deputy minister expressed confidence that the new State Program will serve to improve social welfare of young people, strengthening the capacity of Azerbaijani youth and use this potential in state construction
He said this program would be a logical continuation of the Youth Policy in Azerbaijan.
Before this program, Azerbaijan implemented a program in youth policy, covering 2005-2009. Under this program, the country has implemented numerous projects to develop the Azerbaijani youth, created conditions for active youth participation in activities in various spheres of society.
