People close to president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, have been getting arrested in the last several days on baseless charges and claims, Iranian government supporting news website INN.IR reported.
The website further said that cleric Bahman Sharifzadeh, who has been supportive of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's government, has been called to Iran's special Clergy Court.
The news was published morning on May 21, the day when the Guardian Council of Iran should be done with selecting the presidential candidates for the elections in the country.
The website reported that the Conservatives critical of the current Iranian government, earlier expressed hope the Guardian Council would not approve Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei's candidacy, who has been supported by president Ahmadinejad.
In fact, according to the website, 150 parliament members signed a letter that was submitted to the Guardian Council, regarding Mashaei's candidacy.
The conservatives were critical of the fact that Ahmadinejad accompanied Mashaei to the registration area, and Ahmadinejad's overall support for Mashaei.
Further on, INN.IR said in some Iranian provinces, the country's armed forces entered houses and arrested supporters of presidential candidate Hassan Rouhani, while their relatives were threatened.
Earlier other Iranian media outlets reported that in Tehran and Masshad cities, the Rafsanjani-supporting camps were closed down under pressude from the security forces.
INN.IR also protested about the fact that in the recent days 5 websites in Iran, that support the current government, were filtered without any prior notice.
Iran will hold the 11th presidential election on June 14, 2013.
The voters will select the successor of the current President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is not able to participate in the elections for the third term according to the country's constitutional laws.
The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national election and the Guardian Council vets the candidates for qualifications.
