Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan held a meeting on Wednesday with a delegation headed by Andrey Kovatchev, Vice-Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, European Parliament, Tert.am reported.
The Armenian leader welcomed the European delegation, pointing out the Foreign Affairs Committee's mission in assisting the preparations of a report on Armenia and the region. Such visits and contacts are good opportunities for studying the situation on the spot and forming an objective opinion, President Serzh Sargsyan said.
The sides discussed the negotiations for an Armenia-EU association agreement launched in July 2010, as well as preparations of a report on Armenia and the region.
