The prosecutor holding the procedural guidance of the criminal case initiated on the fact of impeding the implementation of the powers of an observer to use violence against that person and vote in the place of that citizen, confirmed the indictment, Armenia Today reported.

During the preliminary investigation of the criminal case by the Special Investigation Service of Armenia it was found that in the course of the presidential elections in Armenia on February 18, 2013, at about 14:30, Muradyan went to polling station number 17 / '15, Artashat town with a group of people in order to vote instead of another citizen. Violence was used against observer Ismaili, whereby she was restrained from taking pictures or shooting a video thus preventing her from exercising her authority.

According to the factual data obtained during the pre-trial proceedings, Muradiyan also assisted an unidentified citizen to put ballot papers into the ballot box.

On the basis of the obtained evidence Muradyan was accused under Art. 149, part 2, paragraph 3 and Art. 38-153 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The criminal case on his part was detached in a separate proceeding with was sent with an indictment to the General Court of Ararat and Vayots Dzor provinces.

The preliminary investigation on the other part of the case is continuing.
