Participants of protest in front of Russian embassy in Armenia brought to police

Three activists protesting in front of the Russian embassy in Yerevan were arrested, Armenia Today reported on March 5.

At 13:30 local time a group of citizens began a rally in front of the Russian embassy protesting the invasion of Crimea by Russian troops. The participants of the protest action gathered on the sidewalk in front of the Russian embassy.

Policemen demanded that they gather on the opposite sidewalk but the activists asked for an explanation for such a demand. During the talks with the activists, a group of policemen approached and began to push them towards the mayor's office. At the same time, three meeting participants, Tigran Parsilyan, Lala Aslikyan and Edward Mkrtchyan were brought to police.

The policemen forced the activists to cross the street, and currently the rally continues there.
