Armenia's National Seismic Protection Service registered an earthquake measuring four on the Richter scale at 03:08 on July 7, some 13 kilometres south-west of the Vanadzor city, news.am reported citing Armenian Emergency Situations Ministry.

The strength of tremors in the earthquake's epicenter was five points on the Richter scale. The hypocenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of ten kilometres. The earthquake was also felt in the Lori and Aragatsotn provinces of Armenia.

Earlier on July 6, an earthquake measuring three points occurred seven kilometres south of Vanadzor. The strength of tremors in Vanadzor was three to four points.
