Trend:

There are still about two dozen people protesting against the increase in electricity tariffs on Freedom Square in the center of Yerevan, RIA Novosti reported.

The protesters intend to hold a rally every night, the statement said.

One of the rally leaders David Sanasaryan also continues striking. He has been recently detained by the law enforcement bodies. While detaining, he said that he received a slight concussion and was hospitalized. He joined the protesters on Freedom Square July 6 night.

"We do not consider that our demands have been fulfilled," Sanasaryan said. "If we disperse now, then the government will deceive us and the tariffs will be raised again. Therefore, we must continue protesting until all decisions on tariff increases are canceled."

"Every evening we will hold rallies on the square," Pavel, one of the activists, said.
