"Stand up, Armenia" initiative members will continue their protest in Yerevan's Republic Square till tomorrow morning, the initiative Council member Davit Hovhannisyan said at a rally held in the square today, News Armenia reported.
"We will keep on guard the policemen who carried out illegal actions," he said.
The situation in the square is tense; clashes and quarrels between the activists and the police are continuing.
The initiative members have been staging a sit-in in Yerevan's Republic Square since July 27. They are demanding to revoke the decision on the electricity price hike in Armenia, as well as the resignation of Armenia's Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) members and nationalization of the Electric Networks of Armenia.
