The Armenians residing in the Santa Clara region of the U.S. State of California had plans to build a settlement under the name of Armenian Town.
However, the construction of Armenian Town has been halted due to a court examination and numerous complaints from people, not of Armenian nationality, residing in this region.
The foundation of the first house has already been laid at the expense of an Armenian businessman, Trend Special Correspondent in Ankara reports. There were plans to construct churches, cultural centers and other facilities through the support of the local diaspora.
