Georgia, Tbilisi / Trend corr N. Kirtskhalia / A special force division appeared near the Batumi University at 11.00a.m. on 8 November to disperse a student demonstration using tear-gas.
According to the Public TV and radio channel, the demonstration began on 7 November to protest against the events on-going in Tbilisi. Representatives of opposition People Party and Republican Party wanted to join the action, but the students rejected their participation.
According to the students, they held the action because were unaware of the emergency situation announced for the country.
