State of Emergency to be Abolished in Georgia Within the Few Next Days – Georgian President

The state of emergency, announced in Georgia due to recent disorders, will be abolished within the next few days, the Georgian President Michael Saakashvili, said addressing population.

"Now the situation in Georgia is stabilized due to active measures undertaken by the law enforcement bodies of the country. There is not danger of the coup d'etat caused by some political forces in the country," Saakashvili said.

"I know the worth of democracy and ways to overcome the big car of lie. I believe that democracy and truth is a common thing. I do not want to be the President of the country where TV calls people to demonstrate against the government. I want to be the president of the country where all efforts are directed to freedom and victory," Saakashvili added.

"I want to be the leader of the nation but everything depends on you," Georgian President said.
