Court Trial on Georgian Ex-Defense Minister Started in Tbilisi City Court

Georgia, Tbilisi / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / The ex-Defense Minister of Georgia, Irakli Okruashvili, denied the evidences given by him during the preliminary investigation. Eka Beselia, Okruashvili's lawyer, said that the ex-Defense Minister sent a fax requiring the Judge Vaj Pukhashvili not to consider the evidences as the testimony against him.

The court trial involving two accusations instituted against Oksuashvili was started in the Tbilisi City Court under the chairmanship of the Judge Vaj Pukhashvili on 16 November.

Okruashvili did not attend at the process. He was announced in research due to default connected with abuse of powers. Dmitri Kitoshvili, the former press-secretary of the president, attended at the process.
