Georgia, Tbilisi /corr. Trend N.Kirskhalia / Nino Burjanadze is sure that Mikhail Saakashvili will gain the victory in the first turn. "I am sure that the second turn of the elections will not take place because the former President of Georgia tops all rankings and surveys," said the Active President of Georgia, Nino Burjanadze, during the voting on 5 January.
She said that she voted for stability and development of Georgia. "I voted for the candidate who is capable to ensure Georgia's development," she said. Answering the question who she voted for, she replied that it is not difficult to determine it, but she does not intend to break the right for confidentiality of voting.
Burjanadze called on population to actively vote and make their choice. "I believe that the elections will take place peacefully and no provocations will take place. I call on everybody to respectfully approach the law, democratic principles," Burjanadze said.
