NATO Assessment Commission Notes Great Progress in Activities of Ministry of Defense of Georgia: Batu Kutelia

Kirtskhalia/ The assessment delegation of NATO notes great progress in the activities of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia who implements the individual partnership program (IPAP). Batu Kutelia, the deputy minister of defense of Georgia said at the end of the meeting with the NATO delegation.

"The activities of the Ministry were assessed in the plenary meeting held on 31 January," he said.

The NATO delegation noted progress; Georgia could achieve great results in 2007 in reforming the armed forces. "The delegation of NATO noted that the Ministry of Defense has achieved great success in completing SBR process, the management of the finances and human resources," the deputy minister said.

The Assessment Commission of NATO arrived in Tbilisi on 25 January and had several meetings with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense.
