Georgia, Tbilisi, 20 June / Trend corr N. Kirtskhalia/ "Russia tries to involve Georgia in a military conflict in Abkhazia," Grigol Vashadze, Assistant Foreign Minister of Georgia, said to journalists when commenting on military trainings which Russian peacekeepers have commenced in Abkhazia.

According to Vashadze, the trainings were not coordinated with Georgia and are being held nearby of the Kodor Ravine, the only Georgian enclave of Abkhazia which is controlled by Tbilisi.

" Russia is taking all panic actions intended to aggravate tensions in the conflict area," Vashadze said. He noted that all those actions had been envisaged in the presidential decree on establishment of special relations with Georgian separatists dated to 16 April.

"The most dangerous item of the decree is being currently implemented - arms are being brought to the area and military infrastructure is being improved," he said.
