"Returning of Refugees to Abkhazia Should Not be ‘Buttoned" to Other Conditions" – Georgian Parliamentary Committee Head
Georgia, Tbilisi, 24 July / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / The indisputable returning of refugees to Abkhazia should not be 'buttoned' to some other prior conditions, Lasha Jvaniya, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Euro Integration Issues, said to journalists.
"Now Russia undertakes maximum and diplomatic efforts to weaken the support by the world community to the Georgian position," Jvaniya, said commenting the statement by Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister.
On 23 July, Lavrov in the meeting with Condoleezza Rice, the United States Secretary of State, said that te process to return refugees to Abkhazia cannot be implemented until the Georgian troops to be withdrawn from the Kodor ravine and non-aggression agreement to be signed.
"All these efforts of the Russian diplomacy are directed to mislead the world community and to cause misunderstanding," Jvaniya said.
