Litvin, Burjanadze exchange their opinions on social, political and economic situation in Ukraine and Georgia

Ukraine, Kiev, Dec. 17 / Trend , Z.Novosvitskiy/ Vladimir Litvin, the speaker of the Ukrainian Supreme Rada, met with Nino Burjanadze, a leader of the opposition Democratic Movement - Unified Georgia at her request on Dec. 16.

At the beginning of a meeting, Burjanadze congratulated Litvin on his election speaker of the Ukrainian Supreme Rada, the Supreme Rada said.

Litvin and Burjanadze exchanged their opinions on social and political, as well as economic situation in Ukraine and Georgia. Litvin made a report on legislative work of the Ukrainian Supreme Rada, directed to minimize influence of the world financial crisis on Ukraine's economy.

As to interior political situation in the country, the speaker of the Supreme Rada said that at present political conflict gradually reduces. "Unfortunately, it is not always possible to begin a dialogue," Litvin said.

Moreover, an agreement has been signed in the parliament to establish coalition of MP fractions, the speaker of the Ukrainian Supreme Rada. At present MPs' major task is to adopt public budget for 2009. he said. "An imperfect budget is better than its absence," the speaker said.
