Georgia's President Mikhail Saakashvili participated in awarding Georgia's small and medium enterprises and expressed gratitude to the representatives of small and medium business on March 10.
"We rely on society and you, businessmen, are our hope," the President said.
Development of the country is impossible if there is no strong foundation. Business and economy are this foundation, Saakashvili said.
Businessmen do much in terms of crisis by providing people with jobs, the President said.
"I have calculated that the representatives of companies sitting in the hall have provided 4,000 jobs and these are profit and food in 4,000 families," he said.
The President believes that Georgia's society is reasonable and will be able to overcome problems.
He personally awarded Unistil enterprise which was recognized the best medium enterprise. Head of Unistil enterprise is Natalia Tlashadze.
Presently, many countries are suffering difficulties, including Georgia's neighbors, Georgia's President said. Georgia could preserve its currency, he said.
"We launched great construction in Georgia and we must preserve this movement forward. This is my message to business and society," he said.
