Georgia, Tbilisi, March 5 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /
France's policy of supporting Georgia remains unchanged and the sale of the Mistral to Russia will not affect Paris-Tbilisi relations, French Ambassador to Georgia Eric Fournier said.
The diplomat added that during a recent meeting between the French and Russian presidents in Paris, Nicolas Sarkozy demanded that Dmitry Medvedev implement the agreement signed during the August war in 2008.
The Mistral issue will not affect France-Georgia relations, he said.
France and Russia have launched exclusive negotiations on the delivery of four Mistral helicopter warships to Russia.
