Georgia has made progress in fulfilling its obligations within the European Neighborhood Policy Action Plan, EU Delegation to Georgia head Per Eklund said.

Under its obligations in the plan, Georgia must implement democratic reforms in various areas with EU monitoring. The EU's local representation prepares an annual report.

According to Eklund, successes have been observed in improving the crime rate, business climate and criminal legislation. But he added that all plans must be fulfilled and Georgia needs to continue working to successfully complete its second wave of democratic reforms.

"Regarding the EU, the organization will continue to assist Georgia and provide 180 million euro in 2011-2013," Eklund said.
