Chairman of the Government of Adjara and Opening of Iran's Consulate General in Batumi and Iran's ambassador to Georgia Majid Saber discussed cooperation in the tourism sphere Oct.5 in Batumi.
The conversation also touched upon abolition of visa regime between the two countries, Adjara government told Trend.
The meeting was also attended by Naser Fuya, who will head the Iranian Consulate in Adjara.
"Abolition of visa regime and development pace in the region will certainly increase the number of Iranian tourists in the future. Therefore it is necessary to open consulates in the region. The document on visa-free regime is ready and will be signed during Iranian Foreign Minister's visit to Georgia" Iranian diplomat said.
