According to the draft of Georgia’s public budget for 2011, 660 million lari ($ 1 = 1.81 lari) will be allocated for defense needs. For comparison: the defense budget in 2010 was 744,550, and in 2009 – 868 576.7 thousand.

According to the draft of Georgia's public budget for 2011, 660 million lari ($ 1 = 1.81 lari) will be allocated for defense needs. For comparison: the defense budget in 2010 was 744,550, and in 2009 - 868 576.7 thousand.
Some 641 132.2 thousand lari of 660 million lari is envisaged for Civil Defense Office and the Joint Staff and for Ministry's Public law legal entities - 18 867.6 thousand.

Funding of the military hospital in the coming year will amount to 6 249 thousand lari, 3 647.3 thousand lari for Cadet Military Lyceum. The remaining funds are intended for research institutes included in the Defence Ministry.
Draft of public budget for 2011, which hits 6,960 million, is under discussion in parliamentary committees.
