Georgia, Mexico express willingness to deepen dynamic cooperation

Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze paid an official visit to Mexico. As the Foreign Ministry told Trend, during the visit Vashadze met with Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa, as well as with chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, Porfirio Munoz.

Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze paid an official visit to Mexico. As the Foreign Ministry told Trend, during the visit Vashadze met with Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa, as well as with chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, Porfirio Munoz.
Vashadze also spoke at the Mathias Romero Institute under the Foreign Ministry of Mexico.
He stressed Mexico's support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. In turn, the Mexican side expressed its gratitude to Georgian side for its constructive stance in reforming the UN Security Council and climate change problems.
The sides expressed readiness for further deepening of the mutually beneficial cooperation in political, economic, commercial and humanitarian sectors, including through the organization of high level visits and political consultations, as well as close cooperation within international organizations.
Mexican side is interested in reforms carried out in Georgia, particularly in combating organized crime and corruption, which can be regarded as an example for Central American countries.
Vashadze stated Georgia's readiness to share experience with the region's countries to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies and combating organized crime and corruption.
