A Georgian parliamentary delegation headed by Speaker David Bakradze left for Slovenia this morning for an official visit.

Bakradze said that he will meet with his Slovenian counterpart and representatives of the majority and minority in the Slovenian Parliament.

"I will also meet with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Slovenia. The meeting will focus on Georgia's European integration and NATO membership. Slovenia 's support is important for us as we want this country to be on the list of Friends of Georgia," Bakradze told journalists at the Tbilisi airport.

During the upcoming meetings, he will inform the Slovenian leadership about the situation in the occupied territories and discuss ways to resolve the conflict with Russia.

"This is a very important visit, since Georgia seeks active support from European countries to assist in national reforms," Bakradze said.
