Georgia, Switzerland discuss Russia's entry into WTO

Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze met with Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Chief Micheline Calmy-Rey in New York at the 66th session of UN General Assembly.
The sides discussed the progress in the Russian-Georgian negotiations on the accession of Russia into the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The meeting also touched difficult situation in the occupied territories, the georgian foerign ministry reported.
Vashadze briefed Calmy-Rey with the new brute facts of human rights violations in Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region.
Five rounds of the Russian-Georgian negotiations on Russia's joining the WTO brokered by Switzerland so far have ended in failure.
Georgia raises the question about the transparency of trade on the Abkhaz and South Ossetian sections of the Georgian-Russian border.
