Tbilisi City Court has partially answered the claim of journalists injured during the dispersal of a radical opposition protest which took place near the Parliament of Georgia on May 26.

Judge Thea Tadashvili announced it has resolved part of the case. The court is fully satisfied with part of the claim, which concerned the recovery of damage to the health of the journalists.
Accordingly the Court has directed that payment be made to Constantine Stalin to the sum of 12 lari ($1 = 1.65 lari), Tamaz Kupreishvili 30 lari and Nato Gogelia 17 lari and 50 tetri.

The ministry also ordered partial compensation for damage to property. In particular that it is to be paid for the cost of two camcorders belonging to the newspaper Batumelebi to the sum of 1922 lari and a refund of the flip camera belonging to Akhali ambebi to the sum of 304 lari.

The court was not satisfied over claims made by Ltd. Radio Centre plus in connection with reimbursement of the cost of the camcorder and that made by Akhali ambebi for compensation of the cost of another flip camera. The claim made by Chohatauris Matsne for compensation for the loss of chip and batteries was also denied.
