Experts must study the tax rates in Georgia. Their usefulness must be confirmed or revised, the leader of 'Georgian Dream' social movement, billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili said.
Mr Ivanishvili's statement posted on Facebook stressed that the taxes must also be adequate. It is important for citizens to be able to pay them.
The businessman also promised that in the case of his coming to power, his team will solve the problem of low pensions and high taxes, followed by economic development.
"It is unacceptable that the minimum state pension is less than the minimum subsistence level," he said. "In parallel to the economic growth, this situation must be corrected."
