Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has pardoned 114 convicted over New Year, Khatuna Kalmakhelidze, minister of corrections and legal assistance of Georgia, told on Dec.31
She said 75 convicted would leave Georgia's prisons on Dec.31. Sentences of 13 convicted would be reduced by half and conditional sentences of 26 convicted would be removed.
At the same time, the early conditional release committees have recommended to the court to release 55 convicted.
